Text on insert reads "16/11/96 MUTE RECORDS". Disc label is hand-written with 16th Nov 96 Erasure "Cowboy".5/5(1).

  5. Cowboy is the eighth studio album by Erasure, released in by Mute Records in the UK. In the U.S., it was released by Madonna's former label Maverick Records. Cowboy was produced by Gareth Jones and Neil McLellan and marked the band's return to more simplistic three-minute synthpop music.. After disappointing sales and chart placing of their last studio album Erasure, Cowboy .

  6. Despite the lack of commercial success with this record, I thought this was a good return to form for Erasure. For 's Erasure released on Elektra Records, Andy and Vince seemed determined to become the Pink Floyd of synth pop. On this album, they returned to the bouncy hook-filled songs that made them irresistible in the beginning.
